Bio
I'm an English major at a University and I have a concentration in film studies.

My goal in life isn't to have a fancy career and it isn't to make a lot of money and it isn't even to get married and have a family...I thought those were decent goals and then I realized my true goal in life...I want to inspire and impact other people's lives. I want to open up their eyes and their hearts to different situations and people and encourage them to reach out and help those around them. Ghandi once said that, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world." I want to be that change. So who has inspired me to have such a goal? Simple...

JESUS CHRIST, my Christian family in Intervarsity who are wonderful examples of love and friendship, Mother Theresa, and Clay Aiken....I know...interesting combo! Each one has inspired me in a different way (except for Jesus who inspires me in EVERY way), and I will love them forever!

HOW I FOUND OUT ABOUT CLAY AIKEN

When Clay first showed up at the AI auditions, I was watching with my friends Alicia, Jesse, and Kristine...when he walked in we all just looked at each other and bust out laughing. We were like, "Oh no, this should be good!" After all of the weird looking people and bad auditioners, we honestly didn't think much of this geeky looking kid....we were waiting for the worst...then he opened his mouth! Needless to say we all stopped dead in our tracks and our mouths hung open. We were like, "Okkkaaaayyyyy....he can actually sing!"

As Randy said, "Where does that voice come from? That's really weird" and as Simon said, "Well you don't look like a pop star but you've got a great voice."

I watched him weekly on AI although I did miss a few shows, but it didn't take long to get seriously hooked...then I found out that he was a Christian and I saw what an awesome example he sets for not only Christians, but people in general...can people really be that kind and giving and humble? Apparently so...

Then there is that voice...what other singer can hold one note for 17 seconds and receive a standing ovation at the American Music Awards for it? I love his CD, but it doesn't show off his voice like it should...like with songs such as Bridge over Trouble Water, Solitaire, and Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me...those are the kinds of songs he should sing on his next album...if RCA is smart enough to release such songs as singles, why can't they give us a full length CD full of songs like that?! He should also be allowed to write his own music since he did say that he likes to write songs....basically what I am saying is that he needs to ditch Clive Davis and move on to David Foster (of Josh Groban fame).

Clay Aiken is Gods gift to the screwy music industry!
